Generations of Experience
The history of Blueduckcreations is woven together with the spirit of the Old West and the loyalty of a good horse. The name comes from Lonesome Dove — the legendary Western tale that captured the grit, heart, and resilience of frontier life. Just like the characters in that story, our journey has been one of courage, perseverance, and staying true to who we are.
But the real inspiration came from our paint horse, BLUE. He was more than just a horse; he symbolized strength, trust, and the beauty of tradition carried forward.
The Heart of Our Craft
That same spirit carries into our baking. Raised on my mother’s German traditions, I grew up learning the craft of handmade strudel, layer by delicate layer.
What began as a cherished family recipe became the heart of Blueduckcreations. In 2009, we opened our strudel bakery, Oodles of Strudel, where we proudly share authentic, handmade strudels with our community.

Today, we blend those Old-World flavors with the rugged character of the West, creating strudels that are as much about story and heritage as they are about taste.

Our product is made to order. It’s not frozen, nor do we pull it from a shelf. Most orders take anywhere from 5-7 days to process and bake, depending upon the time of the year. While we do everything possible to get your order to you as quickly as possible, please remember your strudel is not made until you order it.
